For my pencil project in art class I choose to make a lolly pop. I really had a hard time deciding what to make. I first choice was a bike but it just was not working out the way I wanted it too. So I thought it would be an interesting project to make a lolly pop because I didn't think anyone else would think of making a lolly pop out of pencils. I thought of the lolly pop idea after watching a little girl with a lolly pop at the Crystal races. I really wanted the lolly pop to be colorful and creative.
the reason i did this vase it because it had lots of meaning to me. its been over two years and the thought of breast cancer just reminds me to be thankful to have my mother. i wanted to give this vase to my mom because i know she would like it and she knows what its like to fight breast cancer. i had a hard time to think of how to do it because im not very good art. i out lined the logo with a sharpie and then painted it pink. After that i had help shading the logo. im very proud of this vase and plan on giving it to my mom.
2. The process or "journey". What problems did you encounter and how did you solve them? What decisions did you have to make?
How did the end product differ from the original idea or sketch? (Minimum of 3 sentences)
i had problems with finding the ideas to draw, to solve my problems i looked at pictures on line.the decisions i had to make is the pictures and the colors i used.i think it came out well and im glad i had done it.
3. Evaluation/Critique. Are you happy with the final product? Why or why not? What would you differently if you were to start again? (Minimum of 3 sentences)
yes i am happy with my final product.my mother whent through brest cancer so the long always remind me that im lucky to have her and i wouldnt be here without her.AA

Reflect on your "journey" over the past semester. How have you grown artistically and/or creatively?
over the past semester i have became more artistically by coming up with ideas of what i can do and difernt ways i could do a pice of art
Which project do you believe was your most successful and why?
i belive my vase was the most successful because i put a lot of time in to it and it have a personal meaning to me. the vase was a breast cancer logo the reason i chose to do that is because my mom had gone through it
Discuss the importance of developing and promoting creativity in school.
i think it it's important because having creativity can help you in life many ways.Being creative can help you paint a wall, make a flower bed and so many other things just around the house
Discuss the importance of creativity ("Right Brain Thinking" according to Daniel Pink) in the up-and-coming job market.
Many of the new jobs have to uses creativity in parts of it even the older jobs.
